BELL SCHEDULE
  • Students may begin entering the building at 7:45 each day.
  • School begins at 8:15 AM.  Students arriving after the 8:15 bell must check in at the front office for a tardy pass.  An accumulation of tardies will result in consequences as outlined in Parent Information Guide and Student Code of Conduct.
  • EHS Class Bell Schedule
  • NCCA students will depart from EHS after first period.
  • Stay connected by joining the EHS Class REMIND for each grade level.


STUDENT SCHEDULES
  • Student schedules will be available soon and will be viewed through the Parent Portal. (It is recommended that you take a screenshot before arriving to OPEN HOUSE)
  • Students will be informed of their scheduled lunch time during the first day of school.
  • Learn how to create a parent account in the Parent Portal to monitor grades and attendance HERE.

SCHOOL STORE 

  • The EHS School Store is located at the school entrance beside the Guidance Department and will be OPEN for students, parents, and visitors during OPEN HOUSE.


EHS STUDENT PARKING PASS

  • Information about EHS student parking passes.
  • Students must fully complete the application and payment processes in order to receive a parking pass hang tag.

GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT


11TH GRADE IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

  • All students enrolled or entering Newton County schools must be up to date on all mandatory vaccines to attend classes. Please be advised of the Georgia Department of Public Health requirements below for students entering the 11th grade.
  • Effective as of July 1, 2021, children 16 years of age and older, including those who are new entrants or transfers into a Georgia school in the eleventh grade, will be required to show proof of a booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine, unless their first dose was received on or after their sixteenth birthday.
  •  Parents, please plan to have your child vaccinated well in advance of the start of the 2023-2024 school year.  If you have questions regarding immunizations, please contact EHS School Nurse Carrie Pate at 770-784-2920 ex. 4310 or [email protected]

ACADEMIC LETTERMAN CEREMONY

  • Students who earned a final course grade of 90 or higher for all 2022-2023 courses will receive an Academic Letter or Celebration Bar.
  • The Academic Letter Award Ceremony will be held Monday, August 14th in the EHS Auditorium.  (5:30 Sophomore CLASS OF 2026, 6:30 Junior CLASS OF 2025, & 7:30 Senior CLASS OF 2024)

INFORMATION ABOUT ACT & SAT


ONE TO ONE TECHNOLOGY 

  • All students must complete a NCSS Student Technology Agreement to receive a device. 
  • A fully charged laptop device will be required for every student every day.
